Soulmate Pendulum Divination

The pendulum can be used for many things: finding lost objects, discovering hidden treasures, divining water, communicating with spirits of the dead, diagnosing illness or prescribing medicine. One of the uses that you can use the pendulum for is in determining whether or not a particular lover is the right one for you.

The pendulum itself should be a ring suspended on a length of pink thread or ribbon. Many women use their mother’s wedding band for the ring; however, if you don’t have your mother’s ring, you can always purchase a cheap fake wedding or engagement ring. The only other thing you need is a personal connection with the lover you are wondering about. This can be an piece of his or her clothing, a handkerchief, a watch, ring, or other piece of jewelry, a photograph, or anything similar that has a direct link with the person. In hoodoo, this would be considered a personal concern, which is an important item to have in doing any kind of hoodoo working. Many people will gather hair or fingernail clippings from the person.

Sit with the object, photograph, or whatever personal concern you have in front of you and hold the pendulum over it. Start off by praying or otherwise centering yourself. You don’t want to be anxious about it and possibly skew the results. Invite God and the Universe to flow into you and guide the pendulum to the right answer.  Let the Universe guide you toward your soulmate in a very natural, loving, easy, calm way.  You don’t want to hurry this process or push it. After all, finding your soulmate is not something to rush into!

It doesn’t matter whether or not your elbow rests on the table, but hold the thread so that the ring is suspended about an inch or so above the object. Allow seven inches of the thread between your fingers and the ring.

The pendulum will start to swing. If it swings backwards and forwards, towards you and away from you, then it means “yes,” that person is the right one for you. But if it swings from side to side, across you, then it means “no,” they are not right for you. With some people the pendulum may swing in a circle, rather than backwards and forwards. If it does, then clockwise means “Yes” and
counterclockwise means “no.”

Soulmate Tarot Card Reading

Are They Your Soulmate?

Sample Mediumship Oracle Reading

I bought Doreen Virtue and James Van Praagh’s “Talking to Heaven” cards yesterday, and thought I’d try out a sample mediumship tarot spread called “LOVED ONE ON THE OTHER SIDE.”

The cards themselves are kind of basic and (in my opinion) not informative enough.  I’ll have to develop my intuition and imagination with these cards. They’ll take some hard core practice on my part to get effective with them and give meaningful mediumship readings with them.

In hoodoo/conjure, the spirits of the dead, especially the ancestors, are an important feature in the practice of hoodoo. The first altar one generally builds is to the ancestors. The spirits of the dead are there to guide us and protect us.  They give us information and advice for our lives. You may be interested in some articles about spiritualism and mediumship over at my website. http://hoodoo-conjure.com/spiritualism/index.htm

How is my loved one doing? “Don’t be afraid.”
Don’t be afraid FOR me, don’t be afraid for yourself. Fear will hold you back from healing. And fear will tie me to you in an unhealthy way. You have a right to heal. I have a right to be let go of. We all change and grow and recover from the traumas that have damaged us.
Anything my loved one wants to say to me. “I wish I had told you more often how much I love you.”
There were times you doubted I loved you, but I have always loved you. Sometimes I thought you didn’t love me. But of course you loved me.
What’s it like on the other side? “I am just a thought away.”
Because I don’t have a physical body, I can communicate to you through thoughts, feelings, sensations, signs. Watch for me. You will feel me. You will know that I come and go at will.
How can I best support you? “There is no such thing as death.”
Believe that I still exist. My form has changed, but I am still present. I am still here. Life, though altered and not physical anymore, goes on. It exists through the universe. Support me by knowing that I am okay, I am here, I am everywhere. I’m with you still.

Egg Limpias and Regional Differences Part 2

Even within a tradition, everyone has their own take or filter in which they practice it. I LOVE hoodoo and totally honor it…even the strict traditional parts…but these traditional parts do get filtered within my own “feeling” for the practice. I don’t always practice according to conventional methods. I frequently practice according to spiritual direction (either an elder has directed me or or a spirit has directed me)

Traditionally, black hens were specified for use in cleansing or uncrossing; when an egg was used, it would traditionally be preferred to be from a black chicken as well.  The reality nowadays is that most people have no connections to farms or rural living and it is unlikely that most people would have access to eggs that they know are from black chickens, and it does make sense that people would adapt to use what eggs are available.

One of my colleagues writes, “As far as egg reading, I view it similar to reading tarot cards. Traditionally, tarot would not likely have been available to the early black inhabitant of this country. I do notice that it is not uncommon that modern practitioners might include them into their divination set, though. I certainly wouldn’t say it is a general part of hoodoo, but it is present at this point.

Reading an egg before disposing of it is pulling in yet another opportunity to “divine” the condition. No, it is not standard, and yes, it has been imported.

I was taught to use what I have on hand as much as possible. Much of hoodoo is practical in nature. For example, the use of torn paper grocery bags to write petition papers on. It was paper one had on hand and if you are dirt poor, you use what you have on hand. Also, the use of red flannel for mojo bags has its origins in practicality. The plantation owners would give the slaves red flannel to make their clothing out of. So they used the scraps to make the bags.

In my mind, the use of the eggs you have on hand is therefore traditional. Besides, if you are rural, farm eggs are notoriously non-uniform and vary hugely in size. I have friends who raise chickens and their eggs look NOTHING like grocery store eggs. They are funky looking and oddly shaped!!! and on the farm, you don’t know whether an egg has been fertilized or not, so breaking it will sometimes give you a big surprise.

I had a friend in college who was raised dirt poor on a family farm and she said that once she got off the farm, she swore she would never eat a farm egg again because it really disgusted her to break open an egg and see a partially formed chicken fetus. You don’t get any surprises, frankly, with grocery store eggs.

The reason why Native American herbalism became a part of hoodoo is because the slaves had to adapt their magical methods to the plants that were in their region — another example of using what you have on hand.

Anyways this is my perspective on why hoodoo varies from region to region — history, culture, tradition, availability.

How to Use Hoodoo to Find Your Soul Mate Part 3

Okay, so in Part 1 I talked about using the tarot to determine if a person was indeed your soul mate using this tarot spread

In Part 2, I described some of the different methods that hoodoo has of bringing love to you — plus three more tarot spreads. You DO have a soul mate — trust in that! There is a very special someone you are meant to share a great love with. If you haven’t found this person already, it’s likely you’re interested in meeting him or her.

Now you need to attract this soul mate into your life and for this, I have the following spell suggestion. In addition, you may find this article interesting:  Attract Your Soulmate — Ten Top  Ways

Attract Your Soul Mate to You Hoodoo Spell

Things You’ll need for the Spell:

Pink Candle

Come to Me Oil

Pink Construction Paper

saucer or plate

2 cups of sugar

rose petals or rose buds

1tbs damiana

1 tbs cinnamon

1 tbs catnip

  1. Cleanse and Consecrate the Candle with Florida Water and then Holy Water; dress the candle with Come to Me Oil. Mix the sugar with the herbs
  2. Cut  a Paper Doll out of the construction paper. Your paper doll can be as fancy or as simple of a cutout as you want it to be.  https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/20/8e/ff/208eff3c17c35387c23730b93ecd85f4.jpg
  3. Light your candle and do so consciously. Be aware that fire has an affinity with the spiritual realm.
  4. Write your wishes, desires and goals on the back of the paper doll. Be as specific as possible.
  5. Call upon St Raphael, the saint of happy encounters! “Raphael, Angel of Happy Meetings, lead me by the hand toward the one I am looking for. May all my movements and all their movements be guided by your Light and transfigured by your Joy.”
  6. Ask for what you want and need in a future mate. Be honest and open — but also be realistic. No one is perfect and the Universe cannot send you some ideal “perfect” person.
  7. Place the paper  doll on the plate or saucer and cover it with the sugar-herb mixture
  8. Stick the candle in the center of the sugar-herb mixture, speak your desires for a soulmate and build up as much energy in your heart as possible.
  9. Burn the candle for 13 minutes.
  10. Continue to ask for all that you wish for in a soulmate. Be honest and forthright. Be clear and operate only in harmony with the Universe
  11. Keep the dish with the sugar, paper doll, and any wax drippings.
  12. Repeat the next day for a total of 13 days
  13. After the 13 days, take the paper doll and put it in a safe place and keep it until your wishes, goals and desires have come true.
  14. When what you have called comes to you, be sure to thank both Divinity and St. Raphael for your good fortune.
  15. Return the paper doll to nature by either burning it, burying it or throwing it into a river, lake or the ocean.

Horse Racing Divination

Using the Gypsy Fortune Telling cards or the Lenormand Cards and a pendulum, this is to see what numbers  might come up through the cards for the winning horses. Use the cards that are numbered 1 – 14 (or however many horses are running the race) Shuffle the cards and spread the cards  out in a line, then put the pendulum over each card. Let your pendulum choose the cards. The numbers will represent the horse you should be on.

In America races are generally limited to 14 horse, but the range can be 2 to 20, depending on the track. American starting gates are made to hold 14 horses each and most tracks are not wide enough to have additional gates. The most well known exception to this is the Kentucky Derby  open to 20 horses.

If you do not have the Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards or the Lenormand Cards, you can use index cards labeled with numbers.

Reconciliation Work Part 3: A Hoodoo Working for Reconciliation Work

If you want to get a lover to come back and everything you’ve done hasn’t worked…a hoodoo spell is what you need. There can be many different workings and tricks to get your ex back, some are easy and some are complicated. The majority of individuals are interested in doing this because they want to restore a previous relationship. I’ve heard that Reconciliation spells are the most often asked for spell, but I don’t know whether that is true or not. But some people say that love spells can bring a lover back.

As with any spell work, it’s important to do divination first.  That’s why I’ve put together a page devoted to tarot spreads on Getting your Ex back and Return to Me tarot spreads. Make sure you do a tarot reading first to find out everything you need to know about yourself, your ex, and the current situation before performing any spell work.  Here is the link to the page on Hoodoo-Conjure.com Return to Me Tarot Spread

THE EASY RECONCILIATION/RETURN TO ME CANDLE SPELL

Light 2 pink figural candles, one for you and one for your ex-lover. As you dress the candles with Reconciliation Oil, pray over the candles:

“Heavenly Father, creator of all men and women, hear my prayer.
Bring us to be of one heart and mind with each other,
and rebuild the bond of love between us.
Amen.”

Every day for seven days light the candle for seven minutes and move the figural candle that represents the one you want closer to the candle that represents you. On the seventh day, let the candles burn down all the way.

Repeat the spell as necessary until they have returned to you.

4 Super Simple Tips on How to Get Your Ex Back

Hoodoo Spell to Reveal Your Enemy

Hoodoo Spell to Reveal Your Enemy

This is a spell that is used to reveal the identity of our enemies, gossipers, false friends, backstabbers and any one who might be working against you.

Psychic oil
1 white, 1 purple candle
petition paper (place underneath candle ) with question written on it

Place a candle on a night table making sure it will that does not pose any danger of causing a fire. Dress the candle and your forehead with the oil mentioned. Place the glass of water next to the candle to protect you from any nightmares or influences on your mind. Light the candle and ask God, Jesus, your higher power or Spirits and Ancestors to reveal the identity of this person or people. Pray Psalm 109.

This is an important step: drink some mugwort tea before going to sleep. Mugwort is a vitally important herb in doing any kind of psychic work. Mugwort is also known as St. John’s Herb, so to strengthen this spell, I’d place a picture of St. John the Baptist on your altar along with the other spell items. St. John the Baptist was said to have worn a belt of the herb during his time in the wilderness.

How to make mugwort tea

Heat water to a boil.
Use 1 or 1.5 heaped teaspoons of mugwort for each cup of water.
In a teapot or french press, pour the water over the tea.
Cover and leave to infuse for 8-10 minutes.
Strain out the mugwort and serve

Go to sleep and document your dreams in your dream journal.

Tell Me The Truth! Candle Spell

Gather the following:

Purple candle

Orange Candle

Brown paper and pen.  Preferably, the pen should be a purple ink pen.

Compelling Truth Oil

Psychic Herb Mix (Clary Sage herb. mugwort, celery seed)

Inscribe your target’s name on the purple candle.  This is your domination, compelling and controlling candle. Dress the candle with Compelling Truth Oil (click here for offsite recipe)

Inscribe your name on the orange candle. This is your “eye opener” candle that will allow you to know the truth when you see it or hear it from your target. The combination of the orange candle and the psychic herbs will help enhance your psychic abilities and give you prophetic, divinatory dreams.  Through this, you “know” the truth when this person speaks it.  You will be able to know they are not lying to you. The person may tell you the truth in real life, face to face; or, they may tell it to you in a dream.

Write down the person’s name nine times on the paper. Cross over the nine names with your own name, in a crisscross manner. This is a dominating act — you are dominating them, controlling them. Place the paper on a table and stand the lighted purple candle on it. When you light the purple candle, forcefully and authoritatively chant:

I command you, I compel you!
I command you, I compel you!
(name of person) Tell me the truth!

Now light the orange candle. Pray the following two Bible Verses….

Zechariah 8:16 These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace;

Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.

Burn the candle for seven days an inch or so at a time. After the seven days, scrape up the leftovers and dispose it off at the crossroads near your home.

Am I jinxed, cursed, or hexed? A Texas Hoodoo Original Tarot Spread!

I posted this on my website www.texas-hoodoo.com and thought that the folks over here at Hoodoo-Conjure.com might like it as well.  This is a tarot card spread that I developed to help you determine if you are cursed, jinxed or hexed; furthermore, it can help you determine WHO has done this to you. I adapted this spread from Mary K. Greer’s 8 Card Yes No Spread.

Get your tarot deck and take out the following cards:

 From the Major Arcana:

The Fool

The Magician

The High Priestess

The Emperor

The Empress

The Devil

From the Minor Arcana

All the court cards

Set aside The Devil Card. Shuffle the rest of the cards at least three times.

Deal out 7 cards and add The Devil Card back in. Shuffle again, to mix The Devil Card back in. You have a total of 8 cards. Lay out the cards in a circle as demonstrated by the picture.  Lay out the cards in a circle as demonstrated by the picture.

Note where The Devil Card appears.  If The Devil card appears in positions 2, 3 or 4 the answer is YES and the court cards/Major Arcana cards that appear here indicate to you who might be working against you. If The Devil Card appears in the 1 or 8 position, then your answer is MAYBE, in which case your answer is much more complicated because it is not a definitive answer, and then you also have a selection of people to look at who might be either working FOR you or AGAINST  you. If The Devil Card appears iin the 5, 6, or 7 position, then the answer is NO (great!).  In this case you might be just having a string of regular bad luck or you might look for more ordinary, mundane causes for your situation.

How to Use Hoodoo to Find Your Soul Mate Part 2

Tarot can be very helpful in determining if someone is your soulmate or not. In this article on hoodoo and finding your soulmate, first I give three examples of tarot spreads that you can use to get important information about your future soulmate.  And then, an easy hoodoo love spell using a candle.

On my blog I have 2 soulmate tarot spreads that you might want to do.  The Soulmate Spread and Are They My Soulmate? Doing one of these readings in conjunction with a hoodoo love spell to sweeten (bring) someone to you increases your chances of finding someone who is the right person for you. Or if you need a quick tarot spread to give you a basic idea,  simply draw 3 Tarot Cards. Each of them respond 3 major questions:

  • What do you aspire to in finding love?
  • What make a perfect soul-mate for you?
  • What makes a romantic love for you?

Try using one of these tarot spreads along with performing a hoodoo love spell to find your soulmate and bring  him or her toward you.

There are many ways to do a hoodoo love spell. Some examples might be a sweetening spell (to sweeten a specific person to you).  A sweetening spell is a gentle spell that pulls someone toward you without interfering with their free will. Examples of sweetening spells are sugar box spells, honey jar spells, and syrup spells.  These kinds of spells, by their very nature, take a long time to work.  The effects of them are not immediate at all.  There are many examples of sweetening spells on the Internet and so I won’t cover one here.

Another method is Tying a Man’s Nature.  This is much more coercive and is only for those who do not mind binding a person to them. This method involves having sex with your man and using his semen in a spell to bind him to  you.  In my opinion, if you have to do this, then the man is not your soul mate. I would look into other ways to attract  your soul mate to you.

I personally tend to like candle spells for just about everything.

On a Friday (the day devoted to Venus) during the third hour of darkness: create a crossroads by drawing one on a piece of pink or red paper using pink chalk. Light three candles: deep red, white and pink and set them over pink or red cloth.. Dress each candle with some love oil. When lighting the white candle, visualize your soulmate coming to you. Think about all the qualities you want them to have.  The white candle represents now your soulmate. Place this white candle at the bottom of the crossroad drawing.

Now take the red candle and as you light it, visualize all the things you bring to your relationship with your soulmate. Imagine what kind of person you will be in this relationship.  You have gifts to offer — what are they?  Place the red candle at the top of the crossroads.  This candle represents you now.

The pink candle is lit last and represents the relationship that the two of you have. As you light it, say aloud: “I ask St. Raphael to bestow True Love between me and my soul mate.”  Place in the center of the crossroad drawing. Breathe your love into your heart.  Blow this love gently onto the candles, while visualizing your soulmate coming to  you.

Light them each evening at let them burn as long as you can until they are gone. Be patient, it can take some time for this love spell to work.

Part 3 shows you how to perform a love spell with a candle, herbs, sugar, and a paper cutout doll.  How to Use Hoodoo to Find Your Soul Mate Part 3.
